When it rains all weekend and you can’t go outside to take pictures what else do you do? Take pictures under the overhang of your complex lol!
These jeans are a dream! I know I have talked about them before, but if you don’t have a pair you really need to go get one! They go with so many different things. I will be wearing these nonstop probably all summer long!! I paired them with this light pink top which is so cute for spring, even if it is rainy out! These shoes go so perfect with it, and are very very comfortable! So easy to slip on and go.
Yesterday I met up with some of my friends from college and we went to downtown Naperville. We started off doing a wine tasting as Tasting Devine Cellars, and then went over to The Craftsman by Two Brothers. I have been to The Craftsman before and all of their stuff is so good – they brew their own beer (too bad I don’t like beer) but they had good lattes and other things to try. After that we went to Vom Fass. O M G I was SOOO excited they finally got one of these in Illinois. Whenever I am in Madison with my friend visiting her mom we always go there and it is so so good. They have THE best oil, liquers, and so many other things. The best part is that they let you sample everything! If you have never been you need to go! After that we went to Quiubo, a mexican restaurant. Despite waiting an hour for a table (even though they had 6 empty ones), the food was delicious! I got the barbacoa burritos (YUM!).
If you are ever in downtown Naperville I highly recommend you go to Vom Fass and Quiubo. They have other locations for Quiubo resaturants but each one has a different atmosphere and their own twist to it. So fun! Now for today I have to run 6.2 miles (waiting on the rain to stop – and praying it will so I don’t have to go on the treadmill!). What do you guys do in the rainy weather to have some fun?!?

What a cute and easy look this was! I love being able to throw on dresses and go; that way you don’t have to plan what fade of denim matches with what top best, or if you should go with white or black jeans or shorts. Dresses are just so effortless and can be cute to dress up or down! I dressed this one up a little bit with wedges, but if you wanted to dress it down you could with sandals for a more comfy and casual look. I love dresses with pockets, also! Then if you go on walks or anything you can always keep your stuff with you instead of carrying a clutch or purse.
Any who, happy hump day! How are all of your weeks going? We have made it halfway through the week and boy did it fly by! This nice weather can just keep on coming! I’m hoping it doesn’t rain like the forecast says it will – for the next 5 days!!! I can’t believe that May is on Monday. I guess it’s true that the older you get the quicker time goes. Yesterday was a bit of a rough day – I found out from one of my coworkers that Wendy’s no longer has spicy chicken nuggets. Can you believe that?!?!?! I can’t believe it; i’m still in shock! With that being said, does anyone know of anywhere that sells spicy chicken nuggets so I can make them myself?!
As for my week, it has been filled with teaching, coaching soccer, and my runs. Last night after grocery shopping I made meatloaf for dinner and it is so yummy! I put sun dried tomatoes into it after a friend told me to, and I will never go back to regular meatloaf again! If you haven’t tried it, you should make yourself a meatloaf sometime soon!!!

Oh, my, gosh,… these jeans are by far my favorite pair! You need to get them while they are 40% off! They are a nice light wash so you can wear them during the day, and you can dress them up at night as well. They go with so much and the distressed look makes them that much more springy.
I paired them with this bodysuit since they are slightly high waisted. It is so comfortable! I ordered a size too big (I always get nervous when ordering bodysuits online), so I will have to shrink it a bit. It definitely runs true to size and it comes in 3 other colors! It’s not warm enough yet to to wear tanks so I paired this lightweight sweater with it so you can still see the outfit, but also be cozy when running errands.
These shoes…. THESE SHOES! I’m going to start off by saying I am so glad I got them a few weeks ago. I have been waiting to wear them and I think they are going to be on my feet majority of the upcoming months. They are SO comfortable and they make you a little taller which I like without wearing heels. They are the perfect slip on and go shoe. You should definitely invest in a pair!
As for this weekend, it has been very relaxing. Saturday I had my 10 mile run and my goal was to not stop, and I did just that so i’m very happy!! I came home and my boyfriend had cleaned our entire place – it was so nice! Our little kitty baby (her name is Wrigley) turned 2 yesterday so we went out and got her a new toy and a cookie cake (even though we will be the ones eating it). Here is a picture of her with her presents. We are absolutely obsessed with her if you couldn’t tell. She has such a great personality. I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!!
I wore this outfit last Sunday when I got home. It is so comfy and it’s easy to add layers with the jacket to keep you warm. If it gets hot, you just take the jacket off and still look dolled up! My converse are some of my favorite shoes to wear, and these are so cute with the ruffled back. They cling to your heel more so that your feet don’t pop out when you walk. In addition to the shoes being one of my favorites, these sunglasses have been my FAVORITE pair to wear this spring. If you don’d have a pair yet, or want more I highly suggest these!!
What an eventful week it has been! Work, coaching, grocery shopping, making dinner, laundry, training for half marathon, running this blog, my Instagram page, my closet page, etc., have kept me very occupied so sorry if my posts are lagging, but I love being this busy!! It helps the days fly by:).
This weekend I have my long run coming up, 10 miles! I have never ran that far before so i’m a little nervous for it. Any tips from fellow runners? All and any advice will be gladly welcomed:) Also, on Saturday my little kitty baby turns 2!!!! I can’t believe she’s growing up so fast. This means I get to buy her a new toy, and a cookie cake, when really I will be eating it for her! 😉
Every night after getting home, my boyfriend and I have been binge watching a new Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why. I read the book a few years back and it was very eye opening so I was excited to see the series. It is very sad, so be cautious when watching it! We are on episode 5 right now. What are some suggestions you guys have for good Netflix series to watch?!? I’m looking for some new ones to start!

Hey guys! How were all of your weekends? There was beautiful weather here if you live in Chicago!
Yesterday I woke up early to do my long run for my half marathon training. This weekend was 9 miles, and the trail I was on was so pretty! I love running in different areas and finding other trails and areas to go to. It’s such a great way to get out and explore. After that my boyfriend and I had some friends over and we went to Top Golf. If you haven’t ever been there you HAVE to go. It’s a mix of darts and golf – so fun! We have been to the one in Wooddale before, but tried the one in Naperville that they built last summer since we live out here now and it was crazy busy.
Today was Easter Sunday so we went to my parents for our family party. My mom is so silly and always loves to do games at family parties; this time we did bozo buckets. After we got home we went on a walk around the golf course that we live on. Great food, great family, and a great weekend!:)
